12" Vinyl pressed in an edition of 500. Mastered by Mikey Young
from the Big Takeover magazine: " For the last few years, San Francisco’s Smartguy has been spewing forth wonderfully intense minimalist Australian DIY post-punk records by the likes of Total Control and Rat Columns. Safe to say, the label is on a really serious roll, and with the release of the rather obscure Division Four’s highly sought after 1983 demo tape, they are truly the go-to outlet for this stuff. The Perth-based band released these six songs on cassette before sadly fading in to obscurity—which is a true shame, as the quintet’s dryly recorded, throbby, dubby, paranoid, synth attack is at once horrifying and breathtaking, and makes one wonder what other kinds of sick monstrosities they could have recorded had they lasted. A truly engaging slide into a much darker psyche. Fans of Screamers and Crisis (UK) take serious note."
